a close one

Want to know what happened at my sister's house yesterday?

Click here and watch the video. Scary!

The explosion blew out a set of windows and french doors in the basement. The firemen said if those windows hadn't been there, the entire house likely would have been lifted off of the foundation entirely and the roof blown off. There are broken windows and door frames throughout the house. Luckily, Greg was at work, Kristin at a primary meeting and Jake with his Grandma at the waterpark. But Kristin should have been home - she had missed a call that would have taken her home for a furniture delivery. They are so blessed.

The painter received severe burns and is in critical condition. And their neighbor, who ran inside the house to try and save Kristin and Jacob - and who found the painter and pulled him out - is also in the hospital with smoke inhalation. So very scary. We take so much for granted, don't we?

My sister's family can't live in their house for a while... The basement had just been completed and is now destroyed, and the upstairs has some burn marks and major smoke damage.

WOW! Not in a good way and what a day to miss a call. I'm no one was home and both men should recover. Gotta know you have good neighbors to charge in there like that.
