happy easter

today is easter sunday.

today was beautiful.

today i felt the spirit whisper comfort, love, peace and hope to my soul.

i am eternally grateful for a Heavenly Father who loves me and knows me - for a Heavenly Father who sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to redeem us all. i am grateful for a Savior who lived a perfect, selfless life full of love and service and then willingly gave that life to save us all. i know because of His life and sacrifice we can be in the arms of our Creator again one day. my mortal mind can hardly imagine how glorious that moment will be. to be with the One who knows you intimately - your thoughts, passions, shortcomings - and fully comprehends your life's deepest sorrows and greatest joys. i know because of Jesus Christ i can be with my loving husband and beautiful boys forever. families are forever. families are everything. because of our Savior, my sister will see her daughter again. she will get to hold alexis close again and share with her the love and devotion that is bursting within. what a beautiful day that will be.

and.... this weekend we were blessed to have todd's family in town for his sister's wedding. congratulations, cathy and kevin! we love you and are so very happy for your new life together. it was a wonderful weekend - with very little sleep but a lot of love and laughter. here's a glimpse of the big day.... more pictures to come.
