Happy Easter!

We're in the full swing of Easter celebration over here, as I'm sure many of you are. For the past week it feels like all we've been doing is "hiding" eggs and swinging our baskets around in eager anticipation of finding them. All goes well until a basket swings into some little person's head.

We've also been decorating paper Easter eggs to hang around the house...

And we joined an Easter egg hunt in the rain this afternoon... the kids sure didn't seem to mind the moisture!

Check out that anxious grin!

Cannon did NOT like waiting on the edge of the grass for the leader to shout "GO!" All of those Easter eggs were just so close and so very beautiful.

Very, very ready to get started..... even inching his way onto the grass a bit. ;)

We need to help Cannon refine his hunting skills. Everyone knows you FIRST fill your basket with as many eggs as possible.... and THEN you open each one to see what you've scored. Cannon wanted to open each one along the way.

Again... not the best Easter egg hunting form. But - he is only 19 months. We'll get him in fine shape before next year's hunt.

Ryder on the other hand, he knew exactly what to do.

This guy even abandoned his basket several yards away to seek help in opening this stubborn egg. Yet another well known rule broken. Of course you NEVER leave your Easter basket unattended. Who knows - someone might come along and "find" a few more eggs that actually in fact have already been found.

Can you tell I was one of the youngest in my family?

Alas, even chocolate can't sooth a tired boy.

But Ryder didn't seem to mind that he wasn't home napping.

Yum!

More Easter fun coming soon, I'm sure!

Madison and Jaxon LOVE easter egg hunts! We've already done 2 and we have 2 more to go. We "play" easter egg hunt at home, too. Your boys are so cute. I always see your pics and wish that our kids could play together. Especially Cannon and Jax. Poor Jax has no friends. He thinks all Madi's friends are his friends. But Cannon looks like such a fun little guy!

Haha. You are SO on the end of the family line up. Of course you would NEVER leave your basket unattended. Rookie mistake.
